Product Customization
Make it yours. We offer three professional customization techniques — UV printing, pad printing, and laser engraving — to brand your hospitality equipment with your logo, text, or design. No minimum order — you can customize a single piece.
What We Offer
| UV Printing | Pad Printing | Laser Engraving | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Direct-to-item printing under UV light that cures colors instantly | Ink transfer from cliché using silicone pads | Laser etching creating permanent surface marks |
| Best for | Full-color logos and small batch orders | Simple 1–2 color logos and long production runs | Single-color vector designs, text, monograms |
| Materials | Most materials (testing required per item) | Any surface with appropriate ink selection | Wood, metals, glass, acrylic, EVA foam, plastics, rubber |
| Colour | Full CMYK freedom | Mostly 1–2 Pantone colors | Material-dependent (dark on wood, contrast on metals) |
| Text | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Images / Logos | Yes — photos, gradients, full color | Yes — simple 1–2 color designs only | Yes — including black & white effect images |
| Minimum order | 1 piece | 1 piece | 1 piece |
UV Printing
UV printing is a direct-to-item printing technique that cures ink instantly under ultraviolet light, bonding colors directly to the surface.
Ideal For
- Full-color company logos with complex gradients
- Small to medium batch orders (1–100 pieces)
- Photographic images and detailed designs
- Products requiring vivid, eye-catching branding
Specifications
| Materials | In theory, any material — testing required to ensure adhesion and quality |
| Max print area | Product-dependent if dimensions don't exceed machine workspace |
| Colours | Full CMYK spectrum with high Pantone matching success. Note: screen colors may differ slightly from final print |
| Durability | Permanent or multi-year lifespan on most materials under normal conditions |
| Dishwasher safe | Material-dependent |
Limitations
- Limited print area on curved or uneven surfaces
- Color accuracy may vary slightly from screen display
- Requires material-specific testing for optimal results
Pad Printing
Pad printing transfers ink from a flat cliché (engraved plate) onto the product surface using a flexible silicone pad.
How Is It Different from UV?
Limited colors and print area — typically 1–2 colors per print. Best suited for long production runs and simple logo designs due to low per-piece cost but higher setup investment. Specialized factories can achieve up to 8 colors on production lines.
Ideal For
- Simple, bold logo designs with 1–2 solid colors
- High-volume orders (50+ pieces) where per-unit cost matters
- Products with curved or irregular surfaces
- Brands requiring exact Pantone color matching
Specifications
| Materials | Any surface with correct ink formulation |
| Max print area | Machine and product-dependent |
| Colours | Mostly 2 colors. Pantone color matching available |
| Durability | Years to permanent lifespan in most cases |
| Dishwasher safe | Possible with post-treatment |
Limitations
- Primarily 1–2 colors (multi-color requires specialized setup)
- Smaller print area compared to UV printing
- Higher setup cost makes it less economical for small batches
- Not suitable for photographic images or complex gradients
Laser Engraving
Laser engraving uses focused laser beams (CO2, fiber, or UV laser sources) to etch designs directly into the material surface. The result is a permanent, tactile mark that becomes part of the product itself — it cannot fade, peel, or wash off.
Ideal For
- Premium, understated branding on stainless steel and metals
- Company names, monograms, and text-based designs
- Single-colour vector logos and line art
- Products requiring maximum durability and permanence
Specifications
| Materials | Wood, metals (including colorful engraving on some), glass, acrylic, EVA foam, laser-safe plastics and rubber |
| Max engraving area | Machine size or product-dependent. Curved surfaces may limit area |
| Colour output | Material and laser-dependent — dark on wood, contrast on metals, variable on plastics |
| Minimum text size | Technical minimum: 0.1mm. Recommended: 1mm for fiber lasers, 3mm for CO2 lasers |
| Durability | Permanent — the engraving is part of the material structure |
| Dishwasher safe | Yes |
Limitations
- No photographic gradients (though black & white effect images possible)
- Color output depends entirely on material and laser type
- Surface condition affects final appearance
How It Works
The entire customization process happens through our online wizard — no emails, no waiting for quotes.
Step 1 — Quantity & Technology
From the product page, click "Customize" to open the wizard. Choose how many pieces you need and select your technology. You immediately see the price per unit and the setup cost.
Step 2 — Choose Print Positions
Select where on the product your design will go. You can pick multiple positions. Setup cost applies per position.
Step 3 — Create Your Design
Choose between text, image, or logo. Upload or type your content, then position it visually within the maximum print area.
Step 4 — Review & Add to Cart
The wizard shows a full summary — design, positions, quantities, costs, and total price. Review everything carefully before adding to cart.
After You Order
Some orders begin production immediately. Others require internal review and customer consultation to ensure end-product quality. Our team contacts you if anything could affect the outcome.
Design Requirements
Accepted File Formats
- Vector (preferred): .SVG, .PDF — best quality, small file size
- Raster (accepted): .PNG, .JPG — minimum 300 DPI at print size
The wizard accepts files up to 10MB. For larger files (.AI, .EPS), email to support@ice-bucket.eu with your order number after checkout.
Tips for Best Quality
- Vector files produce the sharpest results — always preferred for logos
- Convert all text to outlines/paths
- For laser engraving: high-contrast, single-colour designs only
- Avoid very thin lines or extremely small text
Pricing
How Pricing Works
| Setup cost | Charged per position. 2 positions = 2x setup. |
| Repeat orders | Same design + same position = no setup cost. |
| Per-unit cost | Size and item-dependent — larger prints and complex surfaces cost more. |
| Quantity discounts | More pieces = lower per-unit cost |
| Multi-position discount | Possible depending on item — handling costs included in first position |
| Transparency | Full breakdown shown in the wizard before adding to cart. |
Setup Costs
| Technology | Setup Cost per Position |
|---|---|
| UV Printing | €20–40 |
| Pad Printing | Contact for quote |
| Laser Engraving | ~€20 |
Per-Unit Pricing
All pricing is size and item-dependent. Machine time varies significantly — a 5×2cm logo requires different processing than a 15×25cm design. The wizard calculates your exact per-unit price based on these factors.
Bulk Orders
For orders over 100 pieces, contact support@ice-bucket.eu for a tailored quote.
Production Time
| Technology | Additional Production Time |
|---|---|
| UV Printing | From 2 business days (increases with volume) |
| Pad Printing | From 2 business days (increases with volume) |
| Laser Engraving | Small runs: 1 day (increases with volume) |
Multiple positions add extra time — depends on number of additional positions.
Production time is added on top of standard delivery times (see Shipping).
